Cookbook: Slow Cooked 5 Layer Pork Belly

Preparation

Step 1

 

Heat a pan on medium heat for 30 seconds then empty contents of package into pan. 

 

Step 2

 

Use spatula to break up the contents fully, ensuring each piece of pork belly is separated. Stir and spread contents across pan. 

 

Step 3

 

Add 100mL of water, close lid and simmer for 5 minutes on medium heat. Then open lid to stir, and flip pork pieces to cook the other side. Close lid and simmer for another 5 minutes.

 

Step 4

 

Check that sauce has thickened, or continue simmering until sauce is at desired thickness. Carefully plate to avoid spilling of hot sauce. 

 

Step 5

 

Garnish with some spring onions or shallots for the instagram shot and serve!
