How it works

What does iPLATE do?

We curate hundreds of Asian dishes and then bring the best to you, each product only a few small steps from completion! Imagine the delicious Asian food at restaurants, but made by you in less than 20 minutes. That's what we offer!

What do you guys actually sell?

Various different ingredients that have been sliced, marinated, semi-cooked and frozen so that you just have to do the final touch ups. Many of our products are actually supplied to restaurants so you won’t have to worry about quality!

Why iPLATE?

In a nutshell, we’re the fun mixture of meal kits and takeaway food. Enjoy freshly cooked restaurant quality food without the tedious preparation.

So what do I need to do?

Check out our products page, pick what you like and we’ll deliver it to you! There’ll be a cheatsheet with every order that will guide you step by step through each recipe with easy photo instructions.

Anything else I need to know?

As Aussies, we're blessed with so many awesome cuisines - but felt that Asian cooking was really hard to get into. That's why we're here to help make it less confusing and daunting for every Aussie to try at home!

 

Delivery

Where do you currently deliver to?

We’re still growing, and currently deliver to most of metro sydney. The extremities of our delivery zones are: Sutherland (South), Liverpool (Southwest), the Hills (North West), Hornsby (North), DeeWhy and all the Eastern Suburbs.

When will I get my delivery?

We currently deliver on a few days a week, and offer two delivery timeframes (day or evening) so you can choose what suits you best. Our delivery system will send you an email or text when your order is out for delivery, and another when it has been delivered.

I live in an apartment, how will I get my order?

You just need to give us instructions on how to get in to leave the package at the location of your choosing. Otherwise, our courier will do his best to leave it at a secure location - if there are any issues just shoot through an email and we'll help you out.

Do I need to collect my delivery straight away? What if I’m not home?

Our delivery packages are well insulated and have been tested to keep the insides frozen for several hours. Our courier will do their best to follow delivery instructions, but you do need to be careful of others taking your awesome package.

Can I get a text regarding delivery status?

You will get text and email updates provided you give us the respective contact details during the purchase.

What is the delivery fee?

We currently charge a $9.95 delivery fee for all our packages. This is consistent across all areas in our delivery zone and order sizes. There is free delivery for orders above $70!

I didn’t get my order, what do I do?

For all missing deliveries, please contact us via hello@iplate.com.au - we keep photo trails to make sure our drivers don’t incorrectly deliver to the wrong address. We’ll compensate you accordingly if this happens. Do be careful of others taking your package, we do not replace your order if it is stolen or taken by mistake.

 

Orders

What’s the shelf life of your food?

The shelf life of our food generally spans between 3 months to over a year. They are exceptionally long because they are deep frozen , and not because of preservatives. They can be stored for later use if you have a change of plans, which makes them really flexible.

Something I want is out of stock and I can’t order it, when will it be available?

We try to maintain stock in all of our products, but there is seasonality of certain ingredients which affects our overall inventory. Don’t worry though, we update every week so keep your eyes peeled and check back the next week!

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

Keep an eye out for the tags on each product, at the moment we take note of the common dietary requirements and allergies but we will work to cater for more in the future.

How long does it take to cook your food?

It varies across our product range, but most of the dishes take about 10 minutes to plate up. We do take pride in how much time we can save you, for the veteran cooks out there it would be even quicker.

Can I change my order?

We can make changes provided you contact us at hello@iplate.com.au 24 hours before your order is due to be delivered. 

What does each order include?

Aside from your chosen products, each order comes with a Chef’s Cheatsheet (to guide you), insulation packaging and possible surprise freebies!

How do I dispose of the packaging?

The cartons and boxes are all 100% recyclable in household bins. For the insulation packaging, they cannot be recycled in household bins - if you are a repeat customer, the next time we deliver your order, just leave the insulation at the same spot we leave your package and the driver will collect it.

At the moment we don’t have a specific feedback or complaint portal, but we’d love to hear from you! Message any thoughts or feelings about us to feedback@iplate.com.au

I have something urgent regarding my order, can I escalate my request?

We look at each request and prioritise, if it is urgent you can expect a response within 1 day.

Something on the website doesn’t work, how do I fix it?

We do apologise for the inconvenience, please report this to us at feedback@iplate.com.au. We are still constantly improving our platform and adding new features to it, thank you for your patience and support!
